my iphone will not trust my computer, what should i do

I recently ran into this problem. What I did was

1.Go to control panel -> Programs and Features

2.Find 'Apple Mobile Device Support'
3.Right click and Repair it.

The next time you connect your phone and unlock it you will get the Trust/Don't trust option.

What about for a Macbook Pro? I am having this same issue but on my Macbook. I keep seeing these fixes for PC.
