I would like to use this notebook for monitoring the back of my place as the neighbour is getting manic again and destroying my property and things might get worse. Anyway i have ran several apps in windows and linux but dont know anything about doing it on a mac. I know the webcam i have works on this old g4 as i tried it with skype🙂
Oops I couldnt get imagecaster to work on the newer notebook so wanted to get it for the older one but its not available on that website anymore. The newer notebook has an internal cam so maybe thats why the usb webcam wouldnt work. Anyway i know one of my webcams did work with the older notebook so thought i would do this on that notebook. Trouble is imagecaster is not on the website. I know that other websites list it but i get concerned if the sites are legit. Does anyone know a legit download site for imagecaster? Or is there a way i can use the download from the other machine? Where would i find in the directories that file? A dmg?

Decided not to persist/use this app because i realised what i was after was something that recorded video/sound and this doesn't seem to. I found something else that might work on my old windows machine as much as i hate using it he he. Thanks will explore that 😁)
Went back to using it on another mac. Mackbook pro. I am having trouble getting it to record sound though and on another look it looks like it does.This next capture shows the sensitivity of the sensor and the noise as well. does this mean it records sound? i am using a isight firewire camera
also whats this about at the bottom?
Is there any webcam security app?
