I used 1234 as recommended by another user. I didn’t recall ever setting a PIN for restrictions and now it seems it was set during an up date. I would suggest before resetting phone try the default 1234. Work for me
The same exact way.
Finder shows the device exactly the same as iTunes would have, and the steps are exactly the same.
From the support document who's link has been provided hundreds of times:
The Finder window:
Hi, I had this same problem. I tried a lot of things and it didn't work. But I finally found a way to get around it. Here's how: https://nkaliz.blogspot.com/2020/06/How-to-fix-enter-restriction-passcode-on-iphone-or-ipad.html?m=1
The only solution I crossed was to go to Find My/ Find My iPhone/iPad on another device and click erase. Make sure to back up your device first, or all information will be lost. If you don’t have another device, click on your device on Find My and click erase. Due to the fact that I never did this, I cannot assure you that it will work. I was able to restore my iPad once I erased it. I hope this is helpful!

if you forgot your restrictions passcode you can turn off screen-time completely and then the passcode will be deleted. You can then turn it back on and create a new restriction code
That is absolutely, utterly INCORRECT.
Oh no..........If only there was some way to find the answer. Here's a thought. The answer has been posted over and over and over and over, including the Apple Recommended solution just below the very post you responded to.
Maybe take your time and read it.
Really? You could have looked at the post just below the first post you replied to, with the Apple Recommended solution, which is also on every single page of this thread and has also been posted over and over and over.
Yes, you could do that.
OH NO........If only there was a solution? Too bad you couldn't be bothered to read the Apple Recommended Solution IMMEDIATELY below the very thread you replied to and is listed at the top of every single page of this 55 page thread........
