i have forgoton restrictions password, how do you reset it?

I used 1234 as recommended by another user. I didn’t recall ever setting a PIN for restrictions and now it seems it was set during an up date. I would suggest before resetting phone try the default 1234. Work for me
My iPad iOS 10.3.3 has restriction passcode enabled I do not have this code I tried 1234 does not work. Tried to reset and full reset but it asks for pass code
I do not have backup what can I do The problem started as YouTube was asking for update I deleted and loaded latest app for this device but that does not help

Restore to a backup taken when the code wasn't on the device, or reset the device back to factory defaults

Please do tell people they are erasing all content by doing this.
It is a solution to delete restrictions, but at the same time, you are deleting all content of your iPhone.

This method don’t work I tried it followed the steps accurately and got a four digit passcode but when I tried it on my IOS device the passcode was incorrect.
