I need OS 10.9.0. Is it still available?
All I can find is 10.9.1. Where can I find 10.9.0?
Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

I don't think you can. Once Apple updates to a newer point release, that is the version that becomes available for download.
You're trying to install an update, not the full OS version. Where are you getting this from?
You downloaded the much smaller 10.9.0 to 10.9.1 update, not the full Mavericks upgrade. Log into the App Store and get Mavericks there.
It looks like you've just downloaded the update file from 10.9.0 > 10.9.1. To upgrade to Mavericks you need to download the full installer from the Mac App Store in the Apple menu. Click on OS Mavericks on the App Store home page.
Make sure you have backup before upgrading - Time Machine or clone - should you need to restore to the previous state for any reason.
RIght, makes perfect sence, Not sure where I got this upgrade, so I was trying to
Get 10.9.0( Mavericks) upgrade... however the link from apple seems to be broken....
macappstores://itunes.apple.com/us/app/os-x-mavericks/id675248567?mt=12&ls=1&v0= www-osx-upgrade-hero&affC=QQANAAAACwAgowUGMTBsNlhkDHhncW91bmh1cTljbwAAAAAoP3m3&i gn-msr=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.apple.com%2Fosx%2F
This is the link directly from the Mavericks page as seen below....
Message was edited by: Shaun Murphy I don't have the "app store" on this particular mac. The only app store I have is available on itunes and seems to be only for apps for the iphone > Ipod... I am usually up and savvy with this type of stuff , can't believe i am having this issue.....
Did you read my post? Go to the Mac App Store from the Apple menu (top left of your screen). That is the only place to get the Mavericks installer.
Edit: That's strange looking at the graphic. Not sure what to suggest. The App Store was introduced with version 10.6.6 so it should be showing in the menu.

I don't remember 10.6.8 having the App Store as a listing under the Apple menu. I believe that only was added in Mac OS X 10.7. Look for the App Store app in the Applications folder.
Regards.
In Applications, do you have App Store.app?
Try downloading and installing the combo update for 10.6.8 to see if that gives you the App Store:
Yes, but unable to open it, as you can se it's has a circle with a line through it. "
So I am assuming i need to buy the upgrade to 10.7
Wondering also if I can just upgrade from 10.6.8 to 10.8.x and skip 10.7 or should I just get Lion and go from there?
