Hello, lost iphone 4 seems to be taken over by hapa1964@hotmail.com. Any ideas on how to delete. Have new iPhone new 5S and back up from icloud

Hello,

I lost my iphone in December, and bought Iphone 5S 2 - 3 weeks later. I tried restoring old data from icloud backup and was asked for the password for

hapa1964@hotmail for App store purchases. This is not my account, so I assume my account was hijacked. I have been unsuccessful at deleting this address

from my phone. A search online turned up similar experiences from other users on this forum. Has anyone found a solution to fix or delete ?

Many thanks

iPhone 5s, iOS 7.0.4

Go to -> https://appleid.apple.com

and change your AppleID password.

If you have problems, contact -> Apple support and speak with account security.

This is happening to me on my brand new, out of the box iPhone 6 now. After a bit of investigation it seems to be a rare glitch and the email appears to belong to a guy named Jerry Hubbard who used to be an Apple Genius in Chicago from 2010 - 2012... Super frustrating considering I waited weeks to get my phone, then waited in 'queue' at the store, paid in-full, only to find out my phone has some crazy glitch. Not to mention the fact that it's extremely difficult to track down any info about the issue, which makes it seem even sketchier.

ps - no, my phone wasn't refurbished or used. Yes, I've tried clearing contents and restoring multiple times. Even if I 'skip' providing a password for this supposed icloud account that's mysteriously linked to mine, the phone still appears to be attempting to update in the background after I restore completely.

Hope this helps somehow...

I just purchased a new iPhone 6 and had hapa1964@hotmail.com pop up for iTunes login. I have tried some suggestions and have what I believe to be the solution. My login problem is from music that I checked out from the library and downloaded to my iTunes account and then my iPhone. Another user said to go to iiTunes and sort your music library by kind...

What you have to do is view your My music files in iTunes by songs. On the far right hand side there should be a blank box (like the top column that says name, title, artist) etc. On the right (empty box), right click and a drop down list appears. Add the option "kind" and then sort. You'll see various things pop up but scroll down to purchased AAC audio files (or at least that's what mine said). Click on the top line of those purchased AAC audio files. My culprit was a live Adele recording. right click on the highlighted line and scroll down to "get info", then click on the last option which should be "file" there you will see an email address of who purchased that file of music. Delete any with the weird appleID that you are having problems with. That should take care of it once you resync. I hope this helps.

Can I check my iCloud status its clean or Lost mode?

Do you want to check the status of a phone that is yours, that you lost? Or a phone that you are considering buying?

Go to https://www.icloud.com/activationlock/ to see if a phone has Activation Lock enabled. If it is your phone log in to https://icloud.com/find. If your phone has Find my iPhone enabled for your iCloud account you will see it and its status listed.
