Boris Title 3D does not appear in FCE 3.5 viewer generators menu

Hello. I've recently installed FCE HD 3.5 (all the options with LiveType, SoundTrack, etc.), and now I'm learning it.

But now I cannot find the Boris 3D text generator under viewer generetors pop up menu. I'm pretty sure that 3D title is installed. Please, any help on how to get Boris under generators menu would be greatly appreciated.

I guess you looked at the language and didn't find anything there. You should really contact Apple about an installation problem. They will provide support for application installation.

The installer routine is quite different in v3 so dima767's issues in v3.5 may not be at all relevant to what's happening on our system.

SOLVED!!!!!

Poking around, and discovering on the installation disc the French documentation for Boris, I discovered:

"Boris Calligraphy inclus deux générateurs de titrage pour Final Cut Pro: Texte Déroulant et Texte 3D."

Boris = Title 3D and Title Crawl!

They have been there in my browser all this time!!! and they work.

I suggest that you look in your Browser > Effects (although I see that you are on FCE 3.5). Or perhaps you are not as dumb as me! (In my defence, it is not self-evident that Boris = Title 3D and Title Crawl.)

They're in a different location in v3.5. They should be in a submenu called Boris.

I've been investigating this mistery further and what I did is the following:

I've opened up the Final Cut Express HD (by "show package contents") and here's what I found in

/Applications/Final Cut Express HD/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/FXScripts/Generators are number of folders with text scripts corresponding to generators items in viewer's generator menu e.g. Text, Matte, Render, Shapes, etc. Boris is missing!

Would anyone with FCE 3.5 please verify that Boris folder is there and if so, would it be possible to email it to me?

The Boris text tools are not in the package contents. They should be in Computer/Library/Application Support/Final Cut Express Support/Plugins. Title 3D and Title Crawl should be there.

Anyway, I'm gonna have to give up now.

They're installed. The problem seems to that for some reason the application is not loading them. You might try repairing permissions and see if that helps.
