THANK YOU Stanalet; worked perfectly. This problem was also seriously hanging up another computer, not just the sync, and when I did the fix you suggested, it solved that problem too! Genius.

Thank you for ending hours of frustration!

I've always loved my iPhones & iPad, but now problems of this nature have started hitting the up-to-now reliable software, it starts to worry me. I had another intractable issue with emails some weeks ago that caused me grief until someone solved the problem for countless numbers.

It does beg the question; what are Apple now doing to support these expensive bits of kit? It's a bit off if we're supposed to sort their problems ourselves!

My system was Windows 7 Professional, but same Control Panel / Programs / right-click "Apple Mobile Device Support" / click repair & wait 2 minutes until hard drive light stops flickering, then reopen ITunes and try again = WORKED.

That worked for me too! Thanks! Just doing the "Repair" in the Control Panel\Programs and Features for:

- Apple Application Support, and

- Apple Mobile Device Support

was all that is needed!

I went to ControlPanel/Programs and Features:

Highlighted Apple Application Support and clicked Repair

Then did the same for Apple Mobil Device Support.

Rebooted and IT FIXED THE PROBLEM.. No error message that it cant access SyncUICorelocalized.dll

Thanks Stanalet. Been going crazy uninstalling and reinstalling itunes since the latest update due to this error. Tried out teh repair option and everything resolved in few minutes.
