I am trying to sign up for apple developer's account. However, when I press continue after the first step of entering the account info, I get this:
Apple Developer Program
We are unable to process your request
An unknown error occurred. Please try again.
Does anyone know why??

Is this a joke, is Apple not interested in new developers? Thats very poor service...

Wow, I can't believe it. This thread has opened for 3 months and nobody from Apply cares! I have the same problem as invidual program! Really poor service!

Been trying for last two days here too. Same old "An unknown error occurred. Please try again." I tried OSX Safari, Windows 7 IE, iPhone etc. I'm in BC, Canada.I have a company email address, but it's hosted in USA. Very frustrating.😟

Guys, I had the same problem. But recently I've solved it. I checked my info of my Apple ID and noticed that I wrote wrong values in some inputs when I tried to purchase my dev. account. After rewriting It works.

I tried registering as a Company, but we don't use DUNS numbers in South Africa so I am now trying to register as an individual. Things I have tried:
What a headache! Please help.
I made a new Apple ID and that did it. This is 2 months ago or so. The problem was it didn't register my location. This was solved with my new Apple ID.

The only thing that worked was creating a new Apple ID. Hardly an elegant solution though.
