why UMA is not activated on iphone

why UMA is not activated on iphone 5s, I consider that we as consumers have the right to have the features that are available in the market, like in my case, I am an apple devices fan, but hate that every time I see someone else with a cheaper phone than me they have better features..is upsetting that my little brother on a Samsung galaxy can make phone calls even with no cellular signal, just because the phone have the capacity to use wifi to call, iphone only have Facetime, but not everyone in the world have iphone, so I consider that as a consumer we have the right to have these features that carriers offers to us, my suggestion is to stop loosing clients to android, and get in line with the technology, and send an update that enables UMA features (Open Wifi Calling) to every one, not restricting us to just Facetime.

I notice that you have nothing to say about the fact that Apple finally backed down and will implement UMA WiFi Calling in iOS 8!

Why should I have anything to say?

It's not in iOS 7 and it will be in iOS 8.

I also doubt Apple "backed down", as in they were against & now they aren't.

Just because something is not there does not mean it was specifically excluded. It was simply not included.

That is how I felt about your original post...

I am done with debating hypotheticals with all of the naysayers about WiFi Calling now that it is being implemented in iOS 8! Especially those who think it is relevant to debate the meaning of "LAX"...

Yet you felt the need to respond and then keep posting to me...

Who is debating anything? You seem to have conversations going on in your head that no one else is privvy to.

No one here (except you) suggested that Apple had refused to include wifi calling. It was simply not part of iOS.

Bravo MlchaelLAX 🙂 ..When i started reading through the thread , i was shocked at how arrogant the responses were to some of the queries and concerns raised by the poster. Excellent description of the problem at hand and the solution!

Thank you and we continue to just ignore the "naysayers" who have nothing of value to add to this thread...
