superscript appears in tables on my screen, but will not print

I know that but I also said it's a trick for the time being! Tho it may be a fraction it looks like a superscript and for some this does the trick for the time being. Underneath there is a serious formatting problem in Pages 5, I concur.

I also need to write a lot of superscript and subscripts for chemical formulas and these found fractions does the job for me at this time. 😎

I agree that it is one way around with the numbers, but doesn't help with anything else and the O.P. didn't say it was numbers.

At least as a partial solution it works! 🙂

Having the same issue here. Hopefully Apple made a fix soon ! Wijngeest trick for works for the time being. But hope better solution from Apple

It's not an ideal solution, but if you upload your Keynote talk via iCloud, then print from the iCloud web interface, it will create a PDF with the subscripts. My guess is that their backend code is using the Keynote '09 rendering code. Hope that helps.

But this is Pages, not Keynote.

There's always workarounds but things aren't working like they're meant to – and don't get fixed.

Whoops! My mistake 😟. However the same workaround might still apply.

I'm not a workaround fanatic either, and definitely not an Apple apologist. I'm just hoping to help anyone else who's in a pinch. It's a total mess though, I agree, and ridiculous that it hasn't been fixed yet.

Just came across this problem. I was able to export it to Microsoft Word and then save as a pdf from there. I use a lot of tables with footnotes, so this bug is pretty annoying. However, MS Word tables are such garbage compared to Pages that I am willing to power through!
