My iPad calendar is not showing all of my calendars, only birthdays. How do I see all calendars

All of a sudden, my calendar's events on my iPad disappeared. They are fine on my phone. When I click calendars on my iPad, the only option is birthdays. On my phone, it's all iCloud, calendar, home, work and Facebook events and birthdays. I thought I found the problem, as my email I'd was listed twice. I deleted one of them and that made all the notes on my iPad disappear, too. They are all safely in the cloud. How do I get it all back on my iPad?

I had the same problem. My iPhone calendar was fine but my iPad only had Birthday calendar.

I noticed in Settings that my Default Calendar had reverted to "Calendar" instead of my gmail calendar. I reset the Default Calendar to my gmail calendar..

Settings > Mail, Calendar, Contacts > scroll to Calendar section and click Default Calendar.

Once I did that, all my calendar content returned from both my gmail and my Exchange calendars.
