iPhone 5s won't connect to iTunes, nothing's working!

Try every USB port on your computer. If you are using a USB hub to connect, don't. Use a port directly on your computer.

Has it ever worked?

If you launch Task Manager from the control panel, do you see AppleMobileDeviceService.exe running on the Processes tab?

dear sir even my iphone 5s is not connecting to my itunes showing an error (0x8000084) i have already uninstalled & reinstalled my itunes is the latest version of my itunes... Please suggest something.

I had this issue for awhile and tried many things, but got too frustrated and never made it to the last one on this list, except this time and sure enough the driver was not installed when I pulled up devmgmt.msc so I followed the directions and viola!!!! Thanks so much man!! Props to jecar71

I got the same problem as you, the only thing that I thought about is instead of deleting Itunes and downloading it again I think you should just download Itunes and then select "Reinstall Itunes" and it even writting in the description "Install and fix broken files" what means it will probably fix your problem, if it won't I don't know what will.

I got another idea! I think the problem is that your Apple ID is asking you in the setup time in which countryyou live in, and maybe in the last time you left that country it made a problem on Itunes and it's not letting you connect your iPhone to Itunes anymore. my idea is to download Itunes with the country you chosed when you made your Apple ID and hopefully it will work.

Hi. Just would like to let you know I'm having the same problem currently. I'm wondering if you ever solved the problem? I've done all this stuff on the FAQs and restarted just about everything that I possibly could. I even did a complete reset of my phone.

i have this problem today, unable to connect to itues after installed itune v.12.1, but my phone is keep charging, my computer still can browse the folder..whole day frustrated pug,unplug,installed,uninstalled,change usb input...then finally my problem solved>>>>>it was due to my cable was rolling in circle/ring when plug in therefore itune unable to detect. Now my cable let it be in flatwise/lay in flat..Problem solved!

Having the same problem on both a windows 7 machine and mac. Both have latest itunes, but my iphone 5S will not connect to itunes, just seems to have stopped working having last connected a few weeks back.

On the windows laptop and mac, the phone charges. On windows I can access my folder. I have checked that the driver is installed. Have re-installed itunes several times and nothing happens.

On the mac I can see it, but it is greyed out witht he loading circle next to it gong orund and round, but does not connect. On windows I don't even see it.

Anyone managed ot find a solution to this?

Ah, I post bad stuff about apples garbage and they remove it and threaten me with expulsion from their group? Pah!
