Updated my iPhone 5s to 7.0.6 and the phone won't turn back on.

Phone won't turn on after Apple update 7.0.6. Any ideas of the problem and solution?

iPhone 5s, iOS 7.0.4, Updated to 7.0.6

Did you already try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again? You will not lose data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches.

If this does not work, try to connect in recovery mode, explained here:

iOS: Unable to update or restore

I personally had no issues with 7.0.6, if you had your phone plugged in, and all backgroud apps shut down I imagine it will update fine OTA, my finger prints stayed. Considering its a very important security update update, I would suggest doing it. Most peoples phones updated fine I know of. Telling people not to plug a SSL vulnerability in their phone is not sensible.

I do not know why this suprises so many people. its software, hardware, firmware nothing is 100% full proof. Read the EULA they are not responible for data this is why backup tools are provided. People failing to use tools provided to secure data is no fault but your own. Always remember you are not obligated to update your devices but not doing so can leave you exposed to threats, the same goes with computers and patches. I just cant believe that these devices and update issues have been around for years but yet people still are not smart enough to protect themselves. Yet they exclaim proudly I have owned every iPhone, nice but you cant operate a door knob good luck in life.

Same here. My iphone 4s won't turn on or restore. It happened after I had tried to update to 7.0.6. It froze in the middle of the update, so I had to restart, and then awhile later it turned off and hasn't been able to get past apple logo since. I tried restoring through itunes, and just kept getting "unknown error (9)". Took it to an Apple store, and to summarize, I have to buy a new phone because I tried to update. Thanks, Apple, way to stick it to the customer.

While downloading 7.0.6 my iphone 6 it froze and said plug into itunes, when i did that, got error phone needs to be restored, couldn't get it to work keep crashing on restore for a few hours, finally restored and now it's stuck on intro/setup pages, stating it 'could not be activated because the actation server is temporarily unavailable' has been like this for 4-6 hours i've lost count how many times i've tried, turn it off and on, plug into itunes, tried over WIFI, removed sim, put it back in, etc, etc. Does anyone have any idea?

I don't have an iPhone but same thing happen to my ipad 2. I tried everything! The only solution was I put my ipad in DFU mode. Did a restore and it worked! Not sure if you want to try that with an iPhone? If you backed up everything? I would give it a try?

Hope that works for anyone bricked! Or stuck with this god awful update! My *** was numb from sitting so long and trying everything! Good luck!

Updated my iPhone 5s to 7.0.6 and the phone won't turn back on.
