battery drain on 7.0.6

Since I upgraded to 7.0.6 my battery drains at an alarming rate. Since 8:00 this morning I have made one call and checked email - the battery is now 51% after 2 hours! This was fine before the update.

I have cloased all apps - still have exactly the same issue. Phone gets hot now when screen is on suggestiig the processor is doing a lot of work.

Is it possible to downgrade back to 7.0.4 (I was on 7.0.4 before the update)?

After updating to iOS 7.0.6, the battery in my iPad 4 totally drained to zero (totally dead, no display, not even red bar on battery indicator) overnight while in sleep mode with no apps running. After nearly fully charging the battery, which took much longer than usual, the exact same thing happened the next day. I am very, very frustrated!!

I've been using Apple products for 20 years. I'm an IT Manager responsible for maintaining numerous Macs, iPads, and iPhones. I know my way around Apple products.

I have an iPhone 5S, and I have the same problem. After updating from 7.0.5 to 7.0.6, my battery is draining much faster. I didn't turn on features after the upgrade, and I have no intention of turning off features just to fix it. I've tried the hard reset, but that didn't work. Unless someone is privy to Apple's code, they shouldn't insist that the update only changed one line of code or fixed one thing. This issue is definitely related to the update, and I sincerely hope Apple releases a fix soon.

I'm seeing this problem too on my iPhone 5, ever since updating to 7.0.6

I could simply quote Clint's reply above as my experience and comments (except I've been using Apple products since the Apple II came out ! 🙂 )

my usage pattern has not changed since 7.0.6 update, yet there is a noticable decrease in the battery life.

I'm not a particularly demanding user of my iPhone either - often zero voice minutes on most days and mainly usage of Mail, browsing in Safari, maybe 15min max of audio over bluetooth and a handful of the same apps every day.

Something is definitely sucking more power even when idle, with 7.0.6

c'mon man just try that what i wrote,it helped a numerous users of iphone, when you turn off that options it will stabilized battery and when you full charge your phone you can turn on mail and calendar,it will not drain again but leave carrier mode on manual and if I helped you dont forget to like that others see the solution fixed, because I noticed that people dont read post, they just post the problem....READ PEOPLE

I did everything suggested by skirla1987 except manual carrier mode because that option is not available on my iphone 5 with my Verizon account.

As I reported previously, the drain is so severe in low cellular signal areas that my battery will drain down while it's plugged into the charger! 100% down to 84% after 2 hours in sleep mode on the charger and down to 68% in 5 hours on the charger in sleep mode. It never did this prior to 7.06. Something is seriously wrong in spite of Apple's insulting denial.

your phone is drain battery when is on charger, that's very strange,it might be the hardware problem with your iphone,or the charger is went crazy..try different charger,if problem still there try to restore with itunes and if that failed the battery fix you must go to verizon and ask to replace your phone if your phone still have warranty.
