Mac Pro (8 core with the D700 GPU's) with Dell U2713H monitors and text is fuzzy and monitor doesn't look as clear as my 2009 27" iMac. Any suggestions on setup, calibration or known issues?

Just set up a new Mac Pro (8 core with the D700 GPU's) with dual Dell U2713H monitors. Text is fuzzy and monitor doesn't look as clear as my 2009 27" iMac. Any suggestions on setup, calibration or known issues? I have tried HDMI and Displayports no difference. Monitor's are allegedly precalibrated at the factory and are displaying at 2560 X 1440 @ 60Hz

Mac Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

I don't follow the iMac forums, but it is said to already be working with none of these issues on MacBook Pros. So I would expect the Mac Pro is the only one with these problems.
