Q: 10.9.2: Mail hangs with Gmail

i have the exact same problem. mail app hangs with 100% cpu load.  when i deactivate the gmail-acc, everything is fine.

Same description and same problem.

Same for me on 2 different computers (macpro and macbook pro retina)

When activating both Diagnostic Connection and Activity windows, 3 items are pending (these are translated in English) :

- Connection to server 'imap.gmail.com'

- Opening mailbox

- Updating the directory of memory cache

Same issue on 2 computers here too, Mail is not usable now

With Thunderbird, it works perfectly (with an incredible speed)

Exact same issue here, everything was fine on 10.9.1.

I have the same problem.

It appeared with the very last beta of OS X 10.9.2 while the previous betas were ok (sort of, at least Mail wasn't hanging right away). As the build of Mail hasn't change between the last beta and the final version, it's seems logical that the problem remains.

I've been using Sparrow with my iCloud + Google Apps account instead of Mail that is totally useless now.

Exact same problem here. Deleted and re-added all of my GMail Mail accounts in System Preferences, no change.

This is the longest standing joke I've ever experienced with Apple.

Same problem here on two macs. Mail hangs if there's a gmail account active. This is really not funny, Apple.
