My iPhone 5S just got bricked after the recent update.

I just recently did the 7.0.6 update and now my iPhone won't turn on. Apparently it's been bricked and now it is going to take over 2 hours to restore my phone through iTunes. I am so upset right now. I am thinking about switching phones and going to an Android. I have an iPad 2 that I won't update now since this happened. I even have an Apple TV and Macbook Air 13. I am a loyal Apple customer and this feels like a slap in the face!

Problems for this iPhone 5s user as well. I perforemd the update, but then had to do a complete restore from iTunes. That took hours to complete. But while iTunes tells me the restore was successful, my phone goes right back to the "Hello" screen and the process starts all over again. I have tried to restore my phone 5 times. Every time the same thing. It goes right back to the "Hello" screen, I select a wireless network, and then it asks me if I am setting up a new phone, restoring from iCloud, or restoring from iTunes. It is maddening.
