Wordservice has been restored in V5's later updates. However, like many things in Mavericks, it's different. Now, many options instead of being grayed out when the context isn't related, they disappear. So, in a blank document you may not see the Wordservice options in Services.
It's been a while, so I don't recall, but you may have to go to System Preferences and re-select (enable) the Wordservice services.

Thanks for the quick reply, Jerry.
I don't know if all the steps I did was necessary, but I removed WordService from my Services folder, restart the computer, downloaded a new file, put there again and still nothing — now even in Evernote.
So I went to Services in System Preferences, unchecked all Text services and rechecked only the ones I use. Reopen Evernote, Pages and voilá! All back there!
Once again, thank you!
Bagadefente,
I also have both versions of Pages under Mavericks. I prefer to work with 4.3. I had WordServices installed to deal with the alphabetization issue. Under Services I only see two Services namely Import Picture and Fix Screen Selection (sorry if this sounds wrong, I am translating from Dutch). No big deal so I reinstalled WordServices exactly as you did, but to no avail. The same two Services appear again, which suggests that some other Services were not installed. `
Note that in the 5.2 version there are no Services visible at all.
I went to System Preferences, Text tab, I wanted to uncheck all Text services the same as you did and recheck anything I might want, but nothing was checked so nothing to be unchecked and rechecked. So do I need something? Yes I want to see all options of WordServices from which to choose what I may need.
What did I do wrong? Did I put the WordServices in the correct Services folder? The website says you have to put it in your Library, I guess that is the Library in my User folder, not the Library one step up on the HardDisk level (which does not comprise a Services folder)?
All the options that you wish to have available must be "checked" in System Preferences > Shortcuts > Services.
