APPLE 'NOTES' APPLICATION FOR BUSINESS

APPLE NOTES FOR BUSINESS

apple notes is a useful simple app that works well with iCloud .. it's reliable !

it is so user friendly we use it for business each day (maybe it was only designed for grocery shopping originally),

but very small improvements would make it perfect for business and an ever better all round app:

1. let us skip through our notes with arrows or better still swipe right and left (like we do in safari)

2. let us reorder our long list of notes instead of forcing the order by date of last edit

3. it is too easy to delete a long note and lose it FOREVER ! a notes 'trash can' or something similar would help considerably

4. specific/unique emojis for the notes app to brighten it up allowing very important notes to stand out would be welcome

5. let us add photos/diagrams on the ipad and iPhone into notes

anyone else use the notes app for business and think we need to tweak it for business users ??

Notes is deisgned to be a simple text only note taking App. Its doubtful Apple would add many features to it.

If you need a more robust Word processing App that can handle images and graphics, and have more control over file order, and deletions etc..., perhaps an actual Word Processing App like the Pages App is better suited for these tasks.

Also there are other Notes Apps in the App Store. Maybe one of those would be to your liking and perform the required tasks.

Also you may want to provide Apple with your feedback usinmg their Feedback link.

Apparently, judging by the number of your posts, you are one that also needs reminding of the proper use of these forums. My "generic" comment applies to non-Americans as well. Be assured if you didn't make such posts there would be no need for my "pointless" input. Until such time as you learn to make less pointless posts, I'll continue reminding you.

kappy - you have tried to reply to my post intelligently and I respect that

i find the most intuitive and useful suggestions from these discussions come from those with the lower points/level - therefore one presumes there are people spending their day posting generic replies to increase their "level/points" ..

instead of trying to discuss or offer assistance

good news .. I have Pages running on the Air and have redownloaded Evernote and colleagues are trying Microsoft's OneNote for comparison .. hopeful one of the above suggestions solves our business needs

Just to be clear, the only way to earn points and increase point levels is to have the person who stared the discussion award them. I assume that most people looking for a solution to a problem they are having would not award points to someone whose posts are generic and pointless.

perhaps they are grateful of the link to the Apple Feedback page if they previously did not know of it's existence

many users with high points/level copy and paste this reply into most popular threads

they also commonly state "apple do not monitor these discussions" which is another meaningless and inaccurate statement

thankfully have our solution from the three constructive comments - Evernote has the office vote :)

Probably due to the fact that it is often the most correct response, particularly if one wished to make Apple aware of desired features (i.e. product feedback). There are Apple employees that monitor the forum for the purposes of enforcing the terms of use and keeping it running well, and a few that offer assitance on some threads, but Apple does NOT use these threads to any large degree to determine future product enhancements. Anyone who wishes to offer feedback on a product would be much better served posting to the feedback form than submitting "wish lists" in a thread.

agreed

curiously I did see apple step in with a 'terms of use' issue and also offering some legal jargon regarding people who post saying they know exactly when ios updates will be released

the concise office wish list re 'notes' was sent to apple feedback, and in the meantime the constructive feedback here has provided a solution, possibly long term solution..

we stand by our previous comment/observance however, which is many North American users appear to race to post a copy/paste response - if you look at response times it's a case of who can paste the fastest

we take your point it may be in some cases the correct reply.. "GO AWAY AND USE APPLE FEEDBACK"

but racing each other to paste this unhelpful reply rarely benefits either party, and let's not forget this is a "discussion" forum, sharing tips, offering support, and more to the point the helpful replies we received today provided a SOLUTION

Actually you received some suggestions for apps not because of the manner in which you posted, but in spite of it. A couple of us chose to give you the benefit of the doubt and offer what recommendations we could. And while I don't necessarily agree with the manner in which Kappy replied, factually he was correct.

I'm glad you did in fact receive helpful replies. But as a "North American" user, a long time Apple Products owner, and a long time participant of this forum, I personally hope you will understand that statement as those above will only trend to result in the sentiment that you are an arrogant ***** and should basically **** off. That may certainly not be an accurate statement, but hold as much validity as the accusations you make of those whose assistance you seek.
