How can you get rid of a virus on my ipad

Every time I go on safari or chrome I get a message pop up to state my flash player is out of date.


I know this is a virus of sorts but how do I get rid of the issue

If this is happening with all devices on your home network, it's highly likely that your router has been hacked or infected with malware. There are many routers out there these days that have serious security vulnerabilities, and even more that are configured in an insecure manner. It takes very little for a botnet to scan IP addresses randomly and hit numerous vulnerable routers that can be hacked. This is almost certainly what has happened to you.


As deggie already recommended, you need to reset your wireless router to factory defaults. Be sure that remote administration is disabled, that the network itself is locked down with WPA2 encryption and a strong password, and that the administration password is different from the network password. You will also need to be sure to update the router's firmware, and will want to see if the manufacturer has any recommendations for improving the security of your specific model.
