Full screen caller picture on iOS 7.1?

Just left this feedback with Apple:

"Dear Sir or Madam,

I have vision problems, and on some odd occasions I can't find my glasses.

The full screen caller picture used in the previous iOS versions allowed me, in a way, to overcome this disability.

If either this feature was removed on purpose or by accident please bring it back, and don't wait for the next iOS to do it, please."

Hit up the Apple feedback site - it's awesome and they listen! A lot of what we see now came about because of previous feedback. Apple will listen to your voice and try to take care of requests that are valid ones. I advocate for disabilities and often find myself submitting bug reports and such here, and things do make their way toward change. Good luck, everyone.

Anyone notice that when you make a call the persons whole photo is in the back also. I had to go into contacts hit edit and then just hit done to re-save the picture to their contact info again... After that the full screen photos worked outgoing and incoming....

Let's hope it will come back in 7.1.2 which is said to arrive before the end of june ....

I DOWNGRADED my iPhone 5 from 7.0.1 to 7.1.1 yesterday and the changes are RUBBISH!

I CAN NOT SEE WELL. I can not see the tiny little circles on an incoming call anymore! They look like faceborg chatheads (I don’t use faceborg but I have seen them before.)

Even the name of the caller is too small to read. I can not tell who is calling me anymore without my glasses which I do not keep on my face 24/7 !

If my phone rings while I am in bed I can not see who is calling me. It could be important, it could be my dad DYING OF A HEART ATTACK.

But I can no longer see who it is anymore because of this RUBBISH design idiocy.

Verizon bumps the call to voicemail if I don’t answer it within four rings. I can not find my glasses and put them on then read the little caller ID screen within four rings.

WHAT were you thinking apple? What about those of us that are not young children anymore and can’t read small things?!!

What about the visually impaired?

What about my dad who is going BLIND?

I am forced to go to the competition now when my contract with Verizon expires this fall.

I will not pay for a device that I can not use. The usability of my iPhone just went right down the loo..

Just so you know, you don't have to leave Verizon. Just get another phone. The carrier has nothing to do with the tiny caller ID photo. That is strictly an iPhone thing. And I agree that it was a totally moronic change that Apple made. I have given them much feedback on this subject. You should, too.

So why not set a specific ringtone for your DAD?

I have specific ringtones for my frequent contacts also for my parents and sister - that way when they call I know exactly who it is without having to look at a picture to tell me who it is.

Could also use Do Not Disturb and set to only allow favorites to come through or repeated calls.

So call Verizon and change the number of rings before it goes to voicemail...

You are not forced to do anything.

If you really saw a pic of the phone screen showing a full screen pic, it seems someone at Apple actually read your message because now it's showing the new UGLY mini pic. 😟

I don't know. They never fixed the ability to serb your home screen page and I think a lot of people sent in feedback there. We night need to be more vocal in social media as well as on their feedback link. I think (hope) they care ho whey are perceived by the public. On the other hand I think since Steve died they don't give a darn.
