ios 7.1 dark keyboard?

Bold font option now includes the keyboard, calculator, and many icon glyphs

A dark keyboard is not listed as a separate selection, it's built into the Bold Text selection, as described above. It works for me... the keyboard text is much darker and bolder when Bold Text is On.

you should have "reduce motion" choice and "bold text"

I think KiltedTim is right, there are options to use bold font for keyboard but there was no 'use dark keyboard' function announced in my upgrade data. Maybe US users have it. The bold actually helps a lot.

The presence of the bold keyboard selector is depending on which keyboard you use. If you install and use the us keyboard, the dark keyboard option will be available.

Um... no. I use the US keyboard. There is no "dark keyboard" option.

Well this was dissapointing... even the update text made it sound like this feature was finally in.

IOS 7 is driving me nuts with all the white.

Things like this would have never happened under Jobs, way to go Cook. Apple is falling fast from what it was.

has anyone tried the setting "invert colors" it makes the keyboard dark but the entire phone gets dark. a little to dark IMO

Last I read this inverted everything, including photos etc so pretty useless option.

The first thing I said to the fellow who was getting me started on my iPad mini was how do I keep this fab dark keyboard? He said that he too wished it was there all the time but it comes and goes depending on the activity. So you can imagine how excited i was when I read that the first or second beta of 7.1 included it as a REAL option ...... I was SO SAD when I found it wasn't there .....

As a designer, I rely on Apple products to deliver a combination of elegance and utility that I can be happy using every day of my life! Come on guys, it's obvious that the dark keyboard is the right choice for so many of us, What could possibly be the problem with including it as an option????? Enough of the internet standard white on gray on white with mild mannered type ...... I am tired of squinting at my gorgeous iPad!

I sm having the same problem with my Iphone 5S....Although I do have the increase contrast, button shapes, darken colors, and reduce white point. In all of the tutorials Ive watched online of people with the Iphone 5 they have the dark keyboard selection but not the reduce white point option. So this only has me assuming that old models of the Iphone recieved the "Dark keyboard" option and we with the newer versions may have recieved the reduce white point option. Unfortunatly I only got the update because when I read the reviews online, it said there was a dark keyboard option. Hopefully in the new update because I hate this keyboard.

No, it was an option that was available in various beta versions of iOS 7.1. It is not part of the final release of iOS 7.1, for any model
