iOS 7.1 Personal Hotspot APN settings won't save on iPhone 4

Hello,

I am facing a problem, which would be great to resolve. Since I updated to iOS 7.1 I can't set APN setttings for Personal Hotspot in my iPhone. If I go to Settings -> Cellular -> Cellular Data Settings, and I set the APNs(for data+mms) and i go back to save the freshly set APN settings then it saves, but if I touch any fields in the "Personal Hotspot" section (even focusing) and I go back the same way any changed value won't save (e.g. I also change data APN). In the menu "Cellular" there is an option for personal tethering where it just keeps loading and after a ehile it becomes an available option, but if I click on it it displays an error message like: "...contact: Carrier". So I tried everything, I reset my network settings, did 3 full restore(via iTunes, in recovery mode and DFU too). Then finally I downgraded to iOS 6.1.2 and guess what, it started working.. Then I thought it repaired some settings bug which burned in my device and I restored 7.1 in DFU. Now it is not working again. I need the help of community since I need hotspot tethering so hard everyday for my job. Thanks in advance!

Same issue here, on a family trip in Germany and the whole family was logged onto my Personal Hotspot till I stupidly decided to upgrade my iOS to 7.1. This ***** really hard!!!!!!!! Apple!!!!

Same problem in Serbia (mts carrier). I've used hotspot at business trips or airports and similar for auditing purposes. Yesterday I got this terrible clue - I couldn't connect to our business network everywhere I want and response to important emails on laptop in the right time (which is every single possible moment).

Also, I understood that now it is impossible to downgrade iPhone 4 to previous iOS. I'm not happy at all.

Apple, if you please...the business can't wait and I don't wanna be disapointed.

People from all over the world, post this problem and demonstrate how serious this is. Thanks.

I have the same issue, ie can't save settings for Hotspot APN. I can still manually enter settings for Mobile Data and SMS it's just Hotspot which won't save.

Now I have to keep transferring my sim to Samsung Galaxy to use its hotspot, arrgghh!

Please fix issue soon.

Same problem here in Thailand.

I checked the authorized carrier list and YES my carrier is on that list.

Model : iPhone 4

Country : Thailand

Carrier : True Move

Please fix this or just give us some friggin warning message before letting us "upgrade"

I am patiently waiting to get my hands on the new iPhone 6/air whatever.. but now? meh..... FIX THIS APPLE

If this hotspot problem is on non-authorized carriers then apple should stop selling factory unlocked phones and only sell to authorized carrier supported with contract 😠

Same issue on iPhone 4 in New Caledonia. Carrier : OPT.

It's the only operator, so there's really not a choice of an official Apple partner or not !

dopo ios 7.1 è impossibile connettersi all'hotspot del mio iphone4, mentre se utilizzo iphone 5s risco a connettermi al suo hotspot anche se non salva apn.

Did you mean EMT? Elion is not GSM carrier.
