Battery drains after installing iOS 7.1 on my iPhone 5

Have you tried any of the suggestions posted in in this discussion? It's now up to seven pages and has some very useful information.

I better wait for a new update from Apple to fix this.😟

1. Try to Switch on and off location Service for each Application one by one

2. Check what kind of Location arrow icon is on your status bar,after that you need to go Settings Location services check which application has same location arrow icon then turn it off. It must go off. (Locationa Arrow Icon Types: An outlined,Full Grey,Purple)

In my Case it was BBM and (An outlined Location Service Icon) other people has Dropbox and Passbook. So it is Different Cuz every Person has his own Applications that he uses.

Thanks for that ifarruh, but i think the battery is back to normal now. I've been using 3G at that time. Since i stopped using it, and after the new update came out, the battery is better now. 🙂

I think while nothing much we can do, we can share our usage time here from 100% to 0% roughly. So we can compare and take average from it, mine is usage time : about 3 hours Standby : varies. but usually after 3 hours of usage time no matter what standby time, it will goes off.

3 hours is all on, 3g 4g 5g 6g wifi all location , auto brightness. that's the maximum i can get. Im still not satisfied because i have to charge almost 3-4 times per day sigh.

What have you tried to rectify the problem?
