Hi everyone!
I am wondering how to export iPhoto library to external drive as a normal folder with jpeg files to be opened also on PC (no iPhoto app). Do you have any ideas?

You can not us an iPhoto library on a PC - you can export the photos keeing the existing event structures for use on a PC - file menu ==> export - see the esxport options in the user tip on exporting

Depends on the undisclosed version you have - with iphoto '11 you can do ll at once as noted in the answer t this question

If you have iPhoto 9.0 or later you can by following the instructions in my first post. Just select all of the Events and go from there.
I have the same issue. Also running OS-X 10.8.5 and iPhoto 9.2.3. But when I attempt to export, there is no "Subfolder Format" drop down field on the bottom. The bottom field is "Prefix." Do I need to update iPhoto, any other suggestions?
Yes you will need to update your OS and iPhoto - but it may not be possible to update that old a version of iPhoto now, frankly.
You should be able to update to iPhoto 9.4.3 here and then export using the subfolder format option
