Hello everybody,

I had the same issue in my iPhone 5 after updating to iOS 7.1.1.

There is not a permanent solution to this.

The temporary one is to log-out from the App Store and reboot the phone.

It's obviously a "bug" of iOS 7.x.x because in iOS 6.x it never happened.

Don't waste time in restoring the system, it doesn't help. Just do what I wrote above.

Hi I had the same issue, after searching google i found my way here.

My problem was created as follows

- I clicked to install an app from the app store

- hit cancel

- spinning network wheel wont go away on home screen

SOLUTION

I was able to fix this by going to that app which i initially cancelled and actually go ahead and install the app. After the app was fully installed the network wheel went away. I deleted the app and the network wheel remained off.
