Insert excel table into mac mail

How does one insert a formatted Excel table into a Mail e:mail.

I have a small spreadsheet that I would simply like to have the formatted spreadsheet in the e:mail. The best Mail appears to do is a simple column table.

Surely Mac Mail can handle basic pasted objects??

This is what I do when I want to insert an excel spreadsheet to a Mail message:

1. Copy the range of cells you want that appear within the mail

2. Open a new word file and paste the cells

3. Copy the cells you pasted on word

4. Paste the cells from word to the mail message, and that's it

The other options listed will get your table into Mac Mail as a table. However, they won't include any formatting like cell borders, shading, etc.

What I usually do is copy/paste to a Google Sheets workbook. Then copy/paste from there to my Mac Mail message. It looks exactly how it does in Sheets that way. (Except sometimes the column widths and fonts need to be adjusted or there is wrapping.)
