back swipe freezes safari

Safari recently started this: Using a two finger back swipe to go to previous page, it will start to slide, then freeze. Cursor will move off-page, but swipe functions on track pad do not work in Safari. Have to exit Safari and start again. Using OSX Mavericks latest version (10.9.2)

There are various reports that this problem can be solved by simply restarting, or by resetting the PRAM. I can't confirm.

Something is wrong with the software.. Resetting the computer fixes it for a while but it comes back so I dont think resetting the PRAM will help at all.. it is simply the fact that you have to reset the computer that does the trick.

Anyhow, in case this happens and until Apple fixes the problem just press CMD+D so that a menu comes up on Safari, once the menu comes up just hit ESC to get out of it and it will unfreeze.. this is just a temporary solution so you dont have to close the app everytime this happens (I lost a lot of info during a couple of those instances so I feel your pain).

Should anyone come up with something better or a definitive solution, please inform us.
