How do I remove Virtualbox from Macbook Pro?

Remove virtual box!

I am having slow issues with Mavericks since I updated. I have plenty of ram. I posted a thread and this person helped me and found virtualbox on my computer. I have never used windows on my computer. I was told by apple store to buy more ram for the slowness of my computer spinning disk when i type or open a program. I think removing virtual box will help but we are having a hard time removing it. After trying a few things he said "VirtualBox is still hanging around, and loading extensions, at this point you need 'hands on' help to remove it, this method isn't working.” Anyone know how to remove virtual box from a mac? Thought I would try one more time! and here is some more info. Thank you so much

Download virtualbox again and run the uninstaller

2.2.2. Uninstallation

To uninstall VirtualBox, open the disk image (dmg) file again and double-click on the uninstall icon contained therein.

It did not come pre-installed, and neither did VirtualBox, you must take care to know what it is you are downloading.

I don't really know what to suggest next. If this was my Mac I would back it up and erase the drive, then reinstall from scratch, we seem to be removing one thing only for 2 more to show up.

Like I said, I never downloaded virtualbox. My orginal macbook pro I bought had so many issues. The apple store just handed me a new one. I am assuming that there were pre installed apps or it was re-furbished and not completely clear. My passport is a mess with over 6,000 photos that i do not want on here. It would be so hard to erase everything. If this is what you suggest then i will do it i guess. How do i do that? Before I do that any other possible solutions? I would even rather but more memory but I am unsure if that would fix this issue!

Why did apple tell me nothing was wrong with my computer just buy more memory.. that is why it's slow lol?!?! I feel like they did not even look at it! They just ran some diagnostics. Sorry if it takes me awhile to repond I have to wait for my sentences to come up and programs to open .. it's that slow I am about to throw it against the wall 😉
