Unread messages disappear from Notification Centre

Did anyone find a solution to this?

I am beyond frustrated... are you guys on Verizon? AT&T?

I'm on Rogers in Canada and I have the same problem. However the tup about turning mail push notifications off seems to have worked for me. I changed it to manual and now my text messages continue to show in the notification centre. I haven't done extensive testing of this but so far it seems to have worked. I have switched to other 3rd party mail app instead which allows me to have push notifications still (New outlook is really good and supports a lot of sites).

i saw this tip earlier and turned my mail push off... i did this and set it to manual... however, this has NOT solved my problem with the text notifications... 😟

You are right. I'm still having the problem too. I just don't notice it as often anymore. It's still there. This is frustrating because you would think notifications are pretty basic functionality. How is it that after 8 major versions they haven't figured it out?

i know - completely ridiculous and i don't understand how there are not a lot more forums complaining about this!

iOS 8.3 seems to have fixed this issue. I have updated to iOS 8.3 on iphone 6, & after a couple of days of use, noticed that unread messages are no longer disappearing from notification centre. Finally a big relief from an irritating bug.

Pls upgrade & test. Hope that should solve the issue.

Update - After 2 weeks of using it on iOS8.3, I am disappointed to say that atleast on my iphone, this problem has become more wierd.

1. Now the the unread messages stay in notification centre for much longer time than before, but it takes around 2 days or some trigger to make them disappear from the list. I am still not able to find out what that "trigger" is.

2. Also, now if you just restart ur phone Or the phone battery finishes, then when you recharge & start it up back again, all the unread messages simply disappear from the notification centre.

So the issue has gone from bad to worse. Why cant Apple get their native Message app fixed ?

If any has found a new solution ( have tried almost everything that exists on internet/forums) , please let me know. It will be helpful

iOS 8.3.

After unlock, there is no unread message in Notification Center, only count number on icon.

The bug still exists!!

Also having this issue on iOS 8.1.2. Would be interested in a fix.

Bug still there in iOS 9.1. Let's face guys, iOS is riddled with bad code. I learn a new bug almost everyday using my iPhone. It's time to move back to Android I think. The amazing Apple iPhone is just a mirage, it cannot do the things that it claims, because nothing ever works properly.
