Major Apple Mail Issues with GoDaddy

I am having MAJOR ONGOING issues wiht Apple Mail that is negatively impacting my ability to work. It's gotten to the point of complete frustration and just considering going back to a PC, it's THAT horrible.

1) I do not regularly receive emails from 2 of my 4 GoDaddy accounts in Apple Mail. Sometimes emails will appear if I close Apple Mail, and then reopen. Sometimes they never appear in Apple Mail. Sometimes they appear randomly - and sometimes they again disappear. Everything is configured correctly (and the same as the functioning GoDaddy accounts) so I know it is not the setup. I NEED TO RECEIVE MY MAIL!

2) I can't move/delete/change anything from the same GoDaddy affected account inboxes in Apple Mail. I file the emails into folders on my Mac, and as soon as I click on another message, they reappear in the inbox. Same if I delete them. I've rebooted, tried a million different settings, delete the account all together and readded, and nothing works. So I have a jumped inbox of several hundred messages, and no matter how many times I file/organize/move/delete emails, they all just go *poof* back into the Inbox. What gives?!

I am so frustrated and my inability to work is more than a small problem at this point. I work in digital marketing, so to say that I need a functioning computer with a functioning email program is an understatement. This Macbook Pro cost over $3k and is less than a year old...funny how for that price I'd just expect it to work.....

I've read through multiple threads on this issue, and tried a million and one fixes, all to no avail. Reboot. Recreate email account. Change password. Update account settings. Test different account settings. Tried with and without SSL. Sometimes it works for a few minutes or if I'm really super lucky, a few hours...but always goes back to these issues.

Is there any resolution in site?

For what it's worth, there are still issues between Apple Mail and Godaddy. Some of the same stuff (delays in downloading mail that otherwise appears rapidly on IOS devices, e.g.). In addition I find that godaddy email will download to my Mac momentarily and then disappear, only to reappear later. Sometimes months of inbox messages go missing, only to reappear when Mail is closed and reopened.

I thought I'd never be so happy to see a post like the one above. This is exactly the crap I've been dealing with. It was working fairly well until I upgraded to El BrokeMyMailAgain Capitan. I've been using Airmail for about a week or so and it works great. Pretty pathetic that other companies have no issues with other Mail clients but Apple can't figure this out. What a joke.

I'm dealing with the same thing. I've had issues over the past year but nothing nearly as bad as over the past few weeks. It's exactly as posted above. Everything may be there one minute and then months of emails disappear. I am EXTREMELY frustrated with this. Whoever figures this out PLEASE post the solution!!!!!

Unfortunately the solution is to not use Mail. Try Airmail, PostBox, Thunderbird. There's more but thats what I'm familiar with. If you do a search this has been an issue for years and Apple has decided to ignore it. With as many people complaining on the forums and comments about people calling support with Apple blaming the ISP and or mail server provider this will never end and or get resolved. Apple Mail is clearly the perfect mail program for the POP email user. If you depend on your email, use IMAP, and are running a business use another program.

You know in the last couple of weeks this problem has gotten a lot worse. Every day now (in Apple Mail) months of Godaddy emails vanish, only to return later. My wife is having a similar problem with a similar setup. Messages appear on my IOS devices long before they come into Apple Mail, and sometimes they land in my Mac's inbox, sound a "bing," and then immediately disappear.

Yeah, its pretty crazy there is still no fix for this yet. I've gone back and fourth with both GoDaddy and Apple and they both keep pointing to each other. "It's Godaddy's servers, It's Apple's Mail Client"... Anyways I haven't found a solid fix for this yet, but I do know that if you create the account using POP instead of IMAP it works, but then you'll have to deal with POP. It's better that the IMAP being very unreliable and glitchy. I'm doing this until they announce a fix. I don't think it's worth switching mail clients, Apple mail is a pretty solid one to begin with (minus this glitch). I also have the Apple technician team looking into my specific case. If I get this resolved I'll be sure to post it here.

This is exactly my issue. Mac Mail, GoDaddy email servers, and IMAP email accounts. POP is not an option since I could be checking and writing mail on one of 4 different devices. I don't seem to have the issue on my two iOS devices or my MacBook Air. I surmise that is has to do with the number of rules, folders and smart mailboxes I have set up on my main Mac. It seems like the messages appear, then disappear while mail is evaluating my rules, and then they don't come back unless I restart mail. Seems hardly to be a GoDaddy issue...

I'm having this same issue with GoDaddy email on my MBP Retina running Yosemite, but I'm using Thunderbird. My iPhone 6 with iOS 9.3 and Mail gets all of the messages, but the Mac does not. It's only an issue with GoDaddy accounts and I'm missing a lot of messages this way.

All of my clients are IMAP for the same reasons others use it... I need access on multiple devices.
