you can block all numbers not in your contact list by doing this:
All calls from numbers not on your contacts list will now be blocked. You can however still see all numbers that attempted to call you as missed calls. Verify the numbers and if legit, add them to your contacts list to receive any future calls from them.

Sprint is also being sued by the FCC for "cramming" cell phone bills. It's not a company I would ever do business with.
Finally I’ve found one way:
How to block “No Caller ID” unknown / hidden calls on iPhoneX
My question would be: how to create other “Groups” in iPhone contact list? That would solve few more problems and make life easier - Currently only “Favorites” and “All” exists as groups. Can (and how) I can add one more group?
Edit: I’ve found it! Here is a tutorial link:
How to create new contact group on iPhone:
I've tried the solutions here, (creating a "Non Caller" number with 000-000-0000 isn't recognized on my iPhone & won't block - setting the "Do Not Disturb" to only allow callers in my contacts list doesn't stop the "No Caller ID" calls from getting through) so neither have worked for me. I'm with Verizon & for $4.99 more per month, they do have a service that'll block them. Just haven't decided if the 3 or 4 "No Caller ID" calls I get per day are worth paying even *more* on my monthly bill than I already am. Sure wish Apple had a ready solution for this annoying problem like Android phones, which, from what I've gathered, have built in blocking for these types of calls.
Blocking a call on the phone doesn't really block it; the call has already made it to the phone. All blocking does is send it to voicemail. You can easily do this yourself; if there is no number, just double-press the SLEEP button.
If you are serious about blocking numbers you should contact your carrier. They are the only ones who can block numbers before they are sent to your phone. Most carriers offer blocking services (including No CLID calls) for a small monthly fee.

block
no caller ID
Your carrier may be able to if you ask them
I kept getting calls from NO Caller ID. I don't want to limit calls to just my contacts list. So to block this type of call:
Create a new contact called something like Non-Caller or No-Caller
Enter 000-000-0000 for the phone number.
Scroll down and select Block this Caller
This should stop calls from calls that come from "zero" numbers.
If you want to know who you are getting a call from when it says "Unknown Call" you can go to www.trapcall.com and sign up for their service. They have three different pricing plans. As of now I think it's $4/$8/$20 per month. This will remove the "unknown call" feature and actually show you the phone number. It enables you to blacklist the phone number and record their calls. Handy if you are getting harassed by telemarketers and you need to report them.
These were the instructions my carrier gave me.
3 years later and still you can't block bozos that withhold their numbers! i have downloaded and deleted 4 apps that say they can do this but they CAN'T as they ALL NEED AN INCOMING NUMBER and you don't need an app to block an incoming number as that is automatically set up in your phone settings! apple really need to do something - the only cretins that withhold their number are: overseas sales, trolls or abusive callers!
Got my first “NO Caller ID” today. Yes, I know it is impossible to block them but for selecting “Decline” or double-clicking the side button. But your periodic responses on the order of “Start by reading the other posts in the thread you just posted to” are not particularly of interest. Might I humbly suggest: en boca cerrada no entran moscas.
There are app available on App Store which can trap and trace "No Caller ID" and give you the number. I do not want to name any of the Apps because that will sound like advertising.
Take a pick on your own.
Once you have it block them.
The "aid" suggested within this reply is DANGEROUS.
Reason: The calls are not blocked, they are merely silenced.
That means: If e.g. an unwanted person calls you, they will still get through and only get the impression that you simply do not answer the phone.
In the case of patient hard-case type callers (e.g., stalkers, ex-girl/boyfriends etc.), this can actually further agitate the caller and motivate him to pursue further means of contacting you (e.g. paying people a visit, sending receipt-requested letters etc.).
In contrast: Blocking unwanted callers through the standard iOS blocking feature immediately cancels ingoing calls, giving the impression that your number is disconnected / not available, which would be the expected & desirable behaviour.
Cheers,
S
The question is to stop no caller ID not other contacts that are not saved. I don't mind receiving calls with numbers showing it's NO CALLER ID as stated above in the original question.
Has anyone found a way???? HELP x
You can create groups from the contacts app in your account at www.icloud.com - https://support.apple.com/kb/ph2667?locale=en_US
And that video hint does not stop only calls with no caller id. It stops all calls, from anyone and everyone, not in the “allowed” contacts group.
What is needed is for cellular telephone service providers to implement anonymous call blocking - something they’ve routinely offered to landline subscribers for decades now, but have steadfastly refused to implement on their cellular telephone networks.
You are wrong about collateral damage. Here's another example. Your doctor has just received test results that indicate you have a critical condition that requires immediate medical attention (e.g., dissected aorta, ecg indicating a imminent heart attack, blood test showing tetanus or rabies, you have been exposed to ebola, etc) but she is home. So she blocks her caller ID to not give away her private phone number. But she can't reach you because you have blocked unknown caller ID. And a caller doesn't know that caller ID has been blocked (that's the way it works) so she doesn't know to try a different way of contacting you. A little imagination can find many other similar examples. If Apple blocked that call an enterprising lawyer would think of suing Apple. As I pointed out, Apple made a conscious choice to not block "no caller ID" calls. It's not that they can't; they have carefully chosen not to. Maybe they know more about it than you do.
It's mostly irrelevant anyway; spam callers almost never block their caller ID; instead they send a fake caller ID that looks like a number you might answer such as another number in your town. I got one recently where the spoofed number was that of a nearby hospital. I had to answer it because I was waiting for a callback from a doctor at the hospital. But instead I was told I had won a fabulous vacation.
Hello. THANK YOU SOO MUCH! Been plagued up to three times a day by withheld number. It's actually a double glazing firm that I asked to be removed from their d/b. They then switched to calling from unknown number. Not just me hundreds more. Thanks to you I now have peace. A grateful technophobe 🙂
