This does not work on my iPhone X with Verizon.

Apple is not going to do this. You should get an Android phone, as this seems to be a deal breaker for you.

Do you know this for a fact, that Apple knows about this issues and refuses to address it? Has this been discussed at Apple or in an Apple document?
