IPhone 4s crashes in 7.1 when trying to view photo from camera

My iphone crashes every time I try to view a photo after taking it in the camera app. It goes to a blurred screen and just hangs, the only way to get out of it is to hold the top button for several seconds and the phone reboots after several minutes. This iphone is an att 4s 16gb running iOS 7.1. It takes photos fine, and I can view them I the photo app, so this is really more of an annoyance than anything, but I was hoping someone might have an idea how to fix this?

Thanks in advance.

I have been having the same issue for some time - I can't view photos I've taken within the camera app. Recently it got worse, as it has for others, where the camera app will lock entirely and freeze the phone. After a couple minutes the phone restarts.

This morning, just before the frozen screen of the camera app went off to begin a restart, the image of the Twitter app appeared for a split second. Why would another app show up while running the camera? So I went into multitasking by double-tapping the home button, just as the first responder, griff w, said. iOS: Understanding multitasking I deleted around twenty apps from the multitasking bar, including Twitter. So far, so good. I checked that I have the Background App Refresh setting at off. Every so often, I will go back into multitasking and close those background apps. I think our 4Ss don't have the muscle to multitask like the 5s and 5Ss do and that's what has us getting hung up.

I have been having the same issue for several months, although I'm not sure it's related to IOS7 - it started happening to my iPhone while I was overseas in May, 2014. Seems to happen when using camera from locked screen and when I'm signed in.

Also, about the same time, my iPhone photos stopped migrating to the iCloud (now just a few and it takes days), and my current month's photo-stream stopped showing up in the Recents column in iPhoto on my Air.

Genius Bar says that the September 2014 software release will make major changes to iPhoto - that it will become "seamless across all Apple devices." I'm cautiously hopeful - iPhoto (and now Camera) have been a challenge to me for years.
