I believe you're talking about the screen curtain. To turn it off if you have Siri ask her to turn off Voiceover.

No Siri then triple tap the screen with three fingers. Then follow the steps already listed to turn Voiceover off.

Thanks a bug bunch Headlice. You saved my iPhone 6s plus from being thrown out the window. I somehow got it locked in voice over and turned it off thinking that would default back to normal then I couldn't get back into it. Glad you had your answer here.

Yesterday for some unknown reason though, I had a voice over happening when entering text but I don't remember which mode I was in. It doesn't appear to be happening today so I hope it's righted itself.

This wouldn't work for my iphone 6s plus as I couldn't get Siri to 'concentrate' when I held down the home button. But another answer here helped me understand how to use voice over to log back onto my phone to turn it off in settings. see Headlice answer. Arrgh.

IM. It on my air iPad now it is iOS 10 score iOS 10 I had the iPad ios 9 it locked on me before when I was talking to Apple support They had no idea but I tried pushing power button later and it opened . Now iOS 10 put a stop to that it is used for something elce . What now it has a line flipping all the time so can't get password in I touch don't work & seri either not on wifi. Any other suggestions?

Hold down the Home button until Siri comes up. If you have not set up Siri to be accessible via the Lock screen, then you will have to unlock it by pressing each number 3 times before touching the next one 3 times. Each time you touch it, Voiceover will say something, but you just need to make sure you do 3 taps, and it should unlock the device. Then hold down the Home key and ask Siri to turn Voiceover off.
