I've recently had trouble where sending an imessage picture returns a "not delivered" result, but the picture does reach the recipient. I've noticed this with multiple recipients. My wife also had the same issue trying to send me a picture. I retried multiple times and each time it reported "not delivered".
Are we the only ones running into this?
iPhone 5s, iOS 7.1
After checking out the "related" section, I found a suggestion to turn off imessage and turn it back on. I tried that, and it did not solve the problem.
please try a RESET NETWORK SETTINGS, if that doesnt help then a RESET ALL SETTINGS CAN BE ATTEMPTED
Actually, I see this is an even more common issue than I had thought.. this other thread gave me the solution, thankfully! 😀
Resetting the network did work for me and my wife. It sucked to loose all my wifi passwords, but at least now my imessage works without the not delivered warning.

the only other options remaining would be to restore the phone ℹ
I turned off imessage, rebooted the phone, and then turned on imessage again. It seems to be working fine.
I'm using an iphone 4s, iOS 7.1.1
Same problem here, in iPhone, iPad and OS X. And I surely can't "reset network settings" on a mac.
I can confirm that for me the following cleared it up:
On iphone:
1. Turn off imessage
2. Power cycle iphone
3. Turn on imessage
Repeat for ipad
iMessage says pic not delivered, but it reaches recipient
