Flash Plugin update version 13.0.0.182 not working on iMac

Hello, I am having troubles with the new Flash update today.

The new update that came out today (version 13.0.0.182) is not working on my iMac (Mavericks 10.9.2).

It is crashing on youtube and any other website that uses Flash.

I read on an Adobe forum that many other users are also having issues with this.

I would like to know if this is a problem that other Mac users are experiencing?

Do you think that Adobe will resolve this issue with a new update?

I've had the exact same problem. >:( What an inconvenience this has been.

But thankyouthankyouthankyou, distractme, for the solution, or perhaps, the work around until an update that works is finally posted. Tho' after this, I'm in no big hurry to change things now.

I am happy to report that Flash Player 13.0.0.199 Beta has resolved the problem for me. It was released a few minutes ago on

http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer.html

at the link "Download plug-in for Mac OS X (DMG, 17.2 MB)", and should reach other Adobe pages and the autoupdate database within the next 24 hours. If you like, you can just go back into your System Preferences >> Flash Player >> Advanced and re-select "Allow Adobe to install updates (recommended)" and wait. Personally, I prefer to manage these things myself.

The beta release sorted out the problem with YouTube for me. I have also recently installed Flixster, and this won't work with the beta release. Not sure if this is a Flash issue, but curiously it did get further than it did with the previous flash version (got the time line and interface this time but no film).

Hello all.

Today I went into System Preferences and then into Flash Player.

I updated the plugin from there, and everything is working fine.

I just thought I would let everyone know that it is fixed and you should be fine updating from system preferences.

Thanks for the post and the help Kappy. I had the sam issue on my older MAC Pro running Lion. Your suggestion was helpful. Adobe was not..

Thanks! looks like Adobe created a standard release 13.0.0.201 to officially repair 13.0.0.182 which was causing the issues we all had. Many thanks to all those who posted with questions and providing solutions.

I agree with dougfromsanjose that I didn't hear a peep from Adobe - maybe I just wasn't listening....

This fixed the problem! I wonder now if I really needed to scrap my MiniMac because it would not support the Flash Player of that time!?
