Stuck or Hanging Notes

Hey All,

I'm trying to sequence my Korg Triton with Logic (and did Pro Tools as a test)

when i do this it works fine for a while then i tend to get hanging notes or stuck notes.

does anyone know the cause of this and or fix for this,

Thanks

Logic Pro X, OS X Mavericks (10.9)

Ok i tried all that,

didnt work unfortunately,

i will note in the length info the note thats sustaing has a full stop after it e.g 25.

dont know if that means anything?

Well, that's all I got.

You're sequencing the Kord and it's sounds? Do you have "Local Off" set on the keyboard so notes aren't being doubled up. On your External MIDI track don't have the output set to ALL, choose the MIDI Port and channel you're using.

Couple of things that comes to mind are...

Are you using the latest OS version for your Triton?

The Triton Classic had some issues with Midi in early versions of it's OS and the Trition Studio had a few werid behaviour issues with midi too unless you updated it....

Search google for Korg Triton update to find links to the various updates depending on what version of the trition you have....

Finally the 11.1 driver for the Digi are not fully compatible with 10.9.2.... Several people I have spoken to, have reported various issues including weird midi behavour at times.. with that interface using those drivers... with 10.9.2.. They seem to work better with 10.9.1 but even then there were still some problems I gather...

I also noted that Digi may have now updated the notes for 11.1 with the following comment...

Mac OS X 10.9, 10.9.1 Mavericks support only

I think it just used to say Mavericks support only in the past, and not specific versions.. but I could be wrong....

Personally, as I have a Triton Classic here working without issue with my Motu Ultralite and LPX.... I suspect its your audio/midi interface and drivers that are likely to be the cause of your problems.. given you have done all the standard other 'fixes' for such issues without success.

Nigel, this is from his original message: Since I don't have X i can't test it. Is it possile it's related to the type of cycle mode recording he's doing?

i still haven't fixed this fully,

(I'm working in cycle mode)

but i will say i went to File > Project Settings > Recording > Create Take Folders

& i haven't had any hanging notes yet using this mode

however when i go to File > Project Settings > Recording > Join When Cycling

the problem comes back.

i haven't done enough testing to see if this is actually the fix ill have to wait a few more days or weeks to find out. the only problem is i prefer to work in "Join When Cycling" mode.
