Photos from my laptop won't sync to my ipod touch

I've never had this problem before. Whenever I sync my ipod touch to my comuter now, everything seems to sync fine on it except for the photos. The music and videos that I've downloaded drag and drop perfectly fine to my ipod touch from my computer, but when I try to sync my photos, this happens - User uploaded file. As you can see, the sync seems to cancel itself (and the cancelling just drags on for hours anc continues unless I exit out of itunes myself) and even though I have the photo folders I want selected to sync, this is what shows up on my ipod - User uploaded file. Another small problem I'm having (well, what I DID have when the photos were syncing) was that photos from other folders would be in other random picture folders on the ipod touch (example: a pic from movie fanart would be in the deviantart related section) even though those photos aren't in those folders on my computer. Basically the photos were out of order.

I'm trying to give as much infromation as possible so I can fix this. I desperetly need these photos accessible on my ipod, and any help would be appreciated. If anymore information is needed, please ask me. I need to fix this ASAP!! Thank you.

The ipod and itunes update I'm running on is iOS 7.1, and I'm using itunes with my brand new alienware laptop.

I would backup to the current computer..

Then I would do the same on another computer. If yo alos want to move all the media to the other coputere so yo do not lose anything then do:

Syncing to a "New" Computer or replacing a "crashed" Hard Drive: Apple Support Communities

If that works then try again on your computer.

If it does not work on the other computer than indicates a hardware problem.

I just noticed that my ipod cable seems to be a bit messed up. I just tried syncing again, and it unplugged itself. I jiggled the cord a bit and it basically kept making the "bleep" noise like when you just plug in an ipod to a computer. My cord seems to charge my ipod, but when I charge it sometimes it will continuously go on and off as if the cord were messed up. If my cord HAS been messed up this entire time, could it be causing all of these problems that I've been having with my ipod touch for months now? As you said, hardward could possibly be a problem. Since the cord is considered hardware, could that be effecting this whole syncing process?

By the way, I plugged it in so that I could try to back it up once more before reseting my ipod to factory settings, and this is the only time I've noticed (while syncing it to the comp, I already noticed before in winter time that it kept plugging and unplugging while just trying to charge it in the wall) it unplugging by itself while it was plugged into the computer. Now I don't know if I should reset the whole thing to factory settings or wait for you to reply again as to this new dilemma...
