Are you using ports 993 for incoming and 465 for outgoing? Do you have SSL checked for both? Mine is working today very well.

Same problem here. Incoming works fine but can't send via icloud. Interestingly, sending is broken on both iphone (email from ~ 3hrs ago hung up) and laptop mail. "Connections to the server “p04-smtp.mail.me.com” on the default ports timed out." Have rebooted both devices but no joy. Can send via webmail. Gmail accounts seem to have no sending issues.

Are you in the UK or that area? There seems to be a problem with some of the services there today as there are several users with this issue...may take patience until they get the servers sorted out.

Some add'l info (in response to Ralph Landry1, tho i don't see his comment here - I clearly don't know how this system works) - I'm in the US. Probably not far from Mr Landry. 🙂 So not part of the UK issue, as far as can tell.

I'm having that issue at the moment as well. On all devices. It's 11:24am where I am...hopefully server issues gets solved soon.

That is strange because it keeps working fine for me...a lot of these posts have been UK, and those who have mentioned the ISP have said BT...which leads to the idea it is primarily an ISP problem at this point.

I am having the same problem as well. In the USA here. 11:36 am. I hope this gets resolved soon.

So, a couple in the US, one in Paris, must be an Apple server issue afterall...but mixed because just sent more out and had no issues.

Same issue here. I'm in San Juan, PR. It's affecting all devices, MacBook Pro, ipad and iphone. Cannot work without it! Does anyone know when this will be corrected?

I have been having this problem all afternoon. My hotmail account works fine using messenger and I did manage to send one email from my iphone. Otherwise the same old message is coming up using iPhone, iPad and Mac

Same here in the West Country, UK: Mac and iPhone mail give the error when trying to send (incoming fine) but iCloud webmail works fine.
