de interlacing video

I have an interlaced video in Final Cut X. since the project is Interlaced, no option to interlace appears. I want to export as uncompressed as possible. Normally I use the export (current settings) in the SHARE menu. How can I deinterlace my video ? I don't have COMPRESSOR...

Final Cut Pro X, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

My initial reply gave you one way to de-interlace.

There are many excellent tutorials – both books and videos – available for learning FCP X.

.AVI I was told there are 2 types of AVI files. Mine seems to be the one that FCPX doesn't take...
