Every time I try to watch videos online they are lagging and choppy. I've tried restarting my router, tried restarting my iPad mini. I can watch the videos on my iPad 2 with no issues.

Delete youtube app and then hold the lock and home buttons at the same time until the screen goes black. Then simply turn it back on and the problem should be fixed.
I killed JUST the YouTube app.; powered my iPad off, then on......videos are back to normal.
I'm also getting this problem. Downloaded video in podcast app, youtube and facebook videos.
My iPad mini has been doing this for about two days now. I kinda notice it when I'm switching to different apps too. Even the keypad is a little slow.

THis is so frustrating. That u just want to be on ur bed and streaming some videos but u cant even get to watch it bcoz its so lag. Delay + Lag = DeLag
I was having the same problems with videos in Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook and MLB to name a few. Deleting the YouTube app fixed everything and out everything back to normal. Thanks for the tip!
I Also tried everything and I read one of the replies below to uninstall the youtube app then restart the ipad. That worked for me. Videos are playing normal now.
jjust chiming in on this - I'd put up with the stuttering and lagging for months then stumbles this thread.
I Deleted the YouTube app and closed all my apps and restarted. Totally fixed it.
