my iphone 5 got stuck in the recovery mode after upgrade.. didn't do a backup as i assume it is a minor update
Mine went to Recovery Mode after the update.. 16GB 5S from 7.1 to 7.1.1 using OTA update. Restoring from iCloud now..
My iPad went into recovery mode. Now iCloud says it can't use the backup. My only option is to set it up as a new device 😟
My iPhone 4 is stuck in recovery mode after updating to 7.1.1. :-((( I tried to reset it to factory settings but it does not work, it is still in recovery mode.
My friend too.. 4s updating to 7.1.1
After doing a factory reset two times it worked for me. But my iPhone will be restored now from iCloud from a two days old backup...
I downloaded 7.1.1 last night, over-the-air. It took 15 minutes from start to finish. This was one of the fastest and smoothest updates I experienced. I
'm surprised with all the issues others are having.
Iphone 5S in Recovery Mode after updating over the air to 7.1.1!!
This *****. Yes I have a backup but this is BS. I've done the previous updates over the air via wifi and never had a problem till today.
The weird thing is I did the 7.1.1 update for my Ipad, through Itunes download and did not have a problem. My Ipad updated itself without issues while plugged into my Mac.
We have 2 other iphones in our family, but I have not updated those yet...... Thank god for backups!!
I guess I'll need to back up the iphones "first" and then run the update with manual installation through Itunes and see if the problem repeats itself.
My iPhone 5C's battery started draining like crazy after updating to iOS 7.1.1.
Furthermore, the phone is really hot all the time, even when I'm not using it.
I didn't have any of these problems with iOS 7.1 and it's bothering me that I now have a phone that lasts less than 5-6 hours with less than regular usage, when it used to last a full day with regular usage.
Same here. iPhone 5 64 gig. Did the update over wifi and now all I can see if the itunes logo with a cable. I don't know if I have a recent back up but that does not matter because each time I do try to restore it tells me the network has been reset and I should try again later. I know my network has not been reset so now what am I to do. Off to work with no phone. Thanks Apple.
Battery was and still is full. Now this *****.
How to get out from recovery mode, please help
See this support document. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
Can anyone tell me what to do if itunes says my phone cannot be restored plsss
Is it saying the backup cannot be restored or the device cannot be restored at all?
I never assume Apple has their bugs worked out anymore, and I always wait for a good long time before I finally do "upgrade" (Pffffheh.... Upgrade my arse). iOS 7 essentially ruined my phone and destroyed my longstanding enthusiasm for, and trust in this company.
