I keep losing wifi on apple tv 3 after last update 6.1.1

Every device is different, Apple TV may be picking up on a vulnerability in the network. The way to verify or rule that out is to get a report.

The moderators deleted your posts as none of them related to the issue at hand, users have no authority to do this. Maybe you should read the terms of the forum that you agreed to when you signed up.

On-topic, the Apple TV does connect to the wifi networks (I have 3 and no, that's not the problem) it seems, but it gets no internet connection, thats were it goes wrong. All of the other devices in my house that use Wifi are scattered around the house, nearby or far from the Apple TV and work flawelessly... So why do you keep persisting on a wifi network check? You still haven't answered that question. And the fact that it all just miraculously happend after the latest update?

Besides that, the scanners you suggest I (or we for that matter) try are for Windows while we are on a Apple community, except for iStumblr, wich has been discontinued...

I surely hope that someone with more solutions reads these posts, because we are getting nowhere like this...

Yes, a check of the network is necessary because there may be a vulnerability that the ATV is picking up on. Other devices working 'flawlessly' is great, but you are making an assumption that your network is fine based on that.

Networking is a tricky thing and things may come up after an update, however if there was an inherent bug caused by an update it would be a widespread issue.

Those scanners were suggested for the OP, who is on a windows machine. Istumbler has not been discontinued. If you want to search for something else, it was already suggested to do so.

The reason you are getting nowhere is because you're spending your time trying to fight everything instead of actually trying to troubleshoot the issue.

There is some interference occuring on the network. The best thing to do would be switching through channels on your router, your manual will go into specifics if you are unsure.

Is your ATV sitting on top of anything, in a closed space, or beside any other wifi devices?

Hoi Yorrick, nadat ik een week lang gebanned was door niet nader te noemen partijen, kan ik je eindelijk vertellen dat die onzin over je netwerk echt nergens op slaat. Als ik dit in het Engels tiep vinden ze mij niet netjes en krijg ik waarschuwingen, dus doe ik het in ons taaltje, waar mensen wel tegen de waarheid kunnen 🙂

Heel simpel, volg de aanwijzingen van MacWorld, waar staat dat als je alles reboot, dus ook je router (en modem om maar heel zeker te zijn) dat dan alles weer werkt (bij mij ook namelijk, dit forum hielp voor geen zier). Het probleem is namelijk dat je ATV de inlog naar je netwerk 'onthoud' en daarmee dus elke keer verkeerd binnenkomt. Als je alles 30 seconden van het stroom hebt gehaald, is al die info weg en kun je vers verbinden, dan pakt ie 'm wel! I'm getting frustrated as well. The same problem is happening with my aptv3 after 6.1.1 update.
