How do I turn off my IPOD??? I used to be able to do this!!!!

Hello.

Really need your help now. I have an IPOD nano. Never had a problem with it. Used to charge it through my computer but it never fully charged so I just got a charger the other day.

Well, I charged it up good this morning. Took over an hour. I see by the signal in the upper right hand side that it has a full charge.

I have tried holding down the pause thing (like I always did before), does not shut off.

I tried holding down the center thing, nothing happens.

How can I shut off this nano?

Thanks to anybody who faced a similar thing and found the solution.

The iPod isn't locked, you just can't access it, because your iPod is probably set to sync automatically.

To set it to manual mode follow these steps:

*In the iPod options screen in iTunes, select the option to "manage your iPod manually"(you'll notice the locked icon disappears)
*Update your iPod by dragging-and-dropping music from your library onto your iPod's icon or into a playlist on your iPod.

Also update iTunes to ver. 7.0.1
It solved a lot of my problems.
