iTunes 11.2 Update Breaks Keyboard Navigation

Early 2011 MacBook Pro, 15"

OS X 10.9.2

Just updated to iTunes 11.2 and I use the "Album" view, the large grid of Album Artwork. I browse my library by typing the first few letters of the artist I want to view, and iTunes used to jump to that letter/beginning of word immediately.

Now it doesn't work and instead jumps to random places - G brings up N, etc. there's no logic to it.

Anyone else having the same problem? Any easy way to roll back to previous version?

So this problem persists and another problem I noticed is when you add a new album/whatever to the music library, it takes quite some time... like 10-20 seconds (and I have a pretty decent computer) to actually show up in the libary, HOWEVER, I look at the "Recently Added" smart playlist sorted by "Date Added" when adding new albums, and I noticed that in the past, if you added multiple different albums at a time, the songs would be jumbled together and mixed in the Songs View, as if they were just added haphazardly.

Now, they are always added as individual albums grouped with the other album songs, and they are added in album song order 1-whatever, it's very tidy for tagging, etc. without moving to a separate playlist, but the apparent time needed for this calculating process grows by the amount of music added - and it can be quite tedious when the program sits dormant and then suddenly, a minute later, 10 new records show up in perfect order and alignment, album art downloaded and all.

Just updated to 11.2.2 and to no avail. Removed and reinstalled (thinking a fresh installation was what it needed) and it still isn't fixed. This is beyond annoying, as many have said, for us with larger libraries. I've tried training myself to use the actual search bar (in the top-right corner for those who don't know 😝 because we've NEVER needed reason to) but it feels like going back to the Stone Ages.

Honestly, I think this entire 11.2 era has been poorely tested and even with the most recent update (11.2.2, today), it still seems so buggy. It seems to be a lack of poor developer testing clearly not ready for the wild in my opinion.

Totally agree. I love Apple but ever since the passing of Jobs, seems like Apple has been trying to play catch up and really losing focus on what set them apart from the competition in the first place. Everything just seems all over the place and these iTunes updates prove it.

And it's okay. At first I thought you might have found a secret fix that I was missing 😐 haha
