snowy screen logitech keyboard

I have the ipad4 and a logitech keyboard with the magnetic attachment. recently it started displaying a snowy screen with lines, and when i attach the keyboard, the magnetic feature causes the display to suddenly work. pull the logitech keyboard away, and the screen goes snowy - reattach keyboard, and click....screen is fine. what the heck!!!

Just to add to this thread. The stunning photo of my iPad screen now.

I've happily been using my iPad with the bluetooth Logitech keyboard (magnetic) for the last two years until about 10 days ago when exactly the same issues as previous posts occurred for me - unfortunately, all i get now is the snowy gray screen with stripe, with or without keyboard.

It makes it pretty hard (read impossible) to attempt to restart / reboot / reset / update, and yes, I've tried reconnecting, charging for an hour, fully discharging, connecting to my Mac, downloading an update etc. The problem is that for some of the above, I'm expected to interface and react on my iPad (enter passcode or click accept etc) - hard when you have no screen!

Out of interest, the only thing I can do with it now is talk to Siri. So I've tried giving it voice commands but have got tired of Siri either apologising, or asking me if I meant.....

So, all joking aside, does this mean I now just have a totally useless boat anchor, or can it be sorted (short of a new screen and other time costs)?

And, has anyone actually been able to find out what the problem actually is - I tend to believe it must be to do with a software / firmware upgrade from Apple because otherwise why is this suddenly happening to lots of users, some of which have been happily using the bluetooth Logitech keyboard with their iPads for some time?

For the record, same problem here with an Ipad4retina and logitech ultrathin keyboard. Reset/restore did not help (very difficult to figure out how to unlock the screen to make itunes connect...). Then I happened to see the image restored while I was moving the ipad out of the logitech keyboard slot. I have a stable display when the Ipad is attached to the "hinge" magnet, but not to the magnet in the keyboard stand/slot. With the ipad on its own, the screen is permanently grey-banded with the exception of a multicolored flickering band off to one side. Yesterday, it worked just fine.

I suppose I'll have to open it up and see if I can find any cable to reconnect.
