Not only am I facing internet connection failure on both iPad Air and iPhone 5 after upgrading to iOS8, but since then operating system constantly asking me for password to iCloud, Apple ID. I can log in on one unit and when I attempt to log in the other I get error message advising my password is incorrect. Since upgrading I have had to log in to Apple ID every single day, on multiple occasions.

My internet connection fails when moving between AP set up, or if changing from one WiFi provider point to another - EG, going from home, then connecting to another source (router). The only way I seem to be able to resolve is:

  • Turn WiFi off
  • Soft reboot
  • Clear open apps

If that doesn't work, hard reboot, reopen Wifi, reselect wifi source, and wait and see if the internet connects; I am monitoring DHCP settings and when all IP addresses are active then it works, until I stop using the app that is using the internet - say YouTube, then the connection hangs again.

I have already changed DHCP settings multiple times and "forgotten this network". I upgraded because I am beta testing my Macbook pro on Yosemite so as to activate iCloud on all. but now have turned off almost all iCloud access programs!!

Both phone and pad were working ok on iOS 7 prior to the upgrade.

Frustrated!! I have an iPhone 6plus on order and due to arrive early October, now regretting! Perhaps time to

Quick fixes or temporary fixes doesn't fly in my opinion! I upgraded to 8.0.2 and while there is some improvement when changing from one AP to another I have to clear cache, turn off wifi, soft reboot, and then reconnect wifi; which then takes quite a while to locate the signal and register. This is consistent on both iPhone 5 and Air Pad!

When hen are Apple going to fix this issue! I am very very close to switching to Samsung and that's coming from a guy who still has a working iphone 1, from 2007 and who tried Samsung G3, and went back to iPhone and just signed corporate deal for 15 iPhone 5s, and 15 iphone 6! Frustration !

exactly. Is this online community not hosted by Apple? I am not sure why Apple is not sending out any information or,response to what is widely publicized as a clear problem with iOS 8? Do they want people to continue to complain online. Is there a new fix in the works? Has anyone had any response from Apple? Or do we have to go into a store to get help?

so Glad to see everyone towing the apple bs. My iPad is worthless or near so. I have tried everything suggested.. Why cant I just revert to iOS 7.? And live out my life as a low tec? I will buy a new device some day but mine was useful and all that I needed before the "upgrade" shame on you apple. I assure you it won't be an Apple device. And a particular kind of shame to the people saying everything is fine. So maybe if you have the newest hardware... Kiss my butt in ski...
