idvd does not sync when burning to dvd

I am using a MacBook Pro with OSX, FCP 7 and iDVD 7 or 8 (it's burning now, so can't confirm). I have a 64 minute video (that includes motions, etc in iDVD. I exported the FCP to QT movie using the default settings. Everything remains in sync in FCP and iDVD. When I burn to a disc, it goes out of sync about half way through the movie. I have searched for solutions in the support community but things I have tried do not work.

I have one more question, but I may have to go to FCP community. I export to QT with default settings. Is there another way to export that does not compress so much?

Thank you for your help.

Sorry my mind slipped me.

But still same goes for FCP

BUT - FCP has a function (that I used a lot) - It can reconnect and localize lost/moved material.

Still I first collect all material in a separate Dedicated folder - but with FCP I use to store this in the Folder I prepared for the Movie Project --> then I set all Scratch disks to address this folder.

And all collected and easy to find and manage (I even do a copy of this folder to a second hard disk as Back-Up storage - then disconnect this for safe keeping)

I use FCP (6) - NOT FC-X Pro just in case.

So, I re-imported all my raw data onto a new hard drive. The 1st 8 minutes has a yellow trianle exclamation mark and the rest does not. I import it all the same clip so how is 8 minutes off-line and the other 60 minutes has a green check mark. Every time I reconnect to the links, it keeps saying the file is missing, I find it, reconnect and it doesn't fix it. Thank you
